I notice you said 'watch', haha... I can't say Iggy Azalea isn't talented, just extremely annoying, and I find as a whole, white chicks are the worst at rapping and even when they're kind of good it's still a little cringe-worthy because they're the least able to pull it off. I wouldn't even try myself, being a skinny nerdy white dude.

I am asian dude who can rap lol I dont sound annoying like Jin tho. He tried to hit on my girlfriend 9 years ago, looking at me like I ain't shhhhh...... he was trying to be all big boy with his lil entourage. Never mess with a local boy with "connections" lol

I'm sure she has worked really hard, I just can't stand her subject matter or style of rapping. 'Fancy'? Ugh. Also, lol her real name is Amethyst Amelia Kelly, and she choose to go by Iggy?

And yet in North America, he stands out as the only legitimate Asian rapper to get a major deal and decent exposure.

Can't say the same for the white girls, would agree that comes down to aesthetics though.

It's probably her vocal tone that annoys ya. Her style changes depending on song. When I first heard in late 2011 on BBC Radio 1Xtra I knew she was going pop lol.

Just battle with my homies, no shows, just for fun. Been doing it since I was 15 and I'm in my 30's now.

Fair enough.

Way different up on stage in front of a crowd, going against a guy you've never met or heard before than in your homies basement rapping against guys who don't really rap.

Do you generally battle or just freestyle?

I used to go to the weekly battles in MR at Bogarts Joint. Won the competition at Shambhala 2005 and also came in second at the 2006 604 hip hop festival.

My DJ and I used to host Hip Hop Sundays in Calgary as well, which we actually started in our living room but moved into a couple different clubs and was sponsored by Brickhouse, which i think is closed now. We also did a Wednesday at Cherry Bay for a little while before they had some weird ownership stuff happen.

You're probably like me and get funny looks everywhere you go because people look at you in your car freestyling to yourself and think you're crazy.

Also beatboxing, which may or may not appear stranger.

Yeah, maybe. I have a good ear for music and used to make electronic songs for fun. I also have a knack for throwing together 'mixtapes' (not the rap kind), so maybe there's something there.
