Yes they are plastic and are amazing. Many fans that only collected G1 now collect them.

Im pretty impressed by the line. There's some figures that are better than others, but for the most part, they've done a good job of capturing the feel of the original characters.

Be careful if you don't have that much money to spend. I wound up buying the entire line.

Re: questions about the CLASsics Line

You know my favourite TFs are ones that are a homage to the originals and these ones capture them perfectly. Due to the botcon exclusives I've even become forced into repainting SS into Thundercracker and Ramjet into Dirge and Thrust. Even repaints (like Devastator) was great in comparison to the energon version, looks even better if you take the 2 green limbs from the original and add it to the classic one. Next time I see you I can show you a few and let you come to your own comclusion but I recommend GET THEM NOW!

I am a G1 fan and I totally love the Classics line. I'd even go as far as to say the Classics line is G1 done better. It's the same character/alt mode in the very similar color scheme with much more complex transformations. A definite hit in my book.

if you ever want to have a complete set I'd skip it because of the damn exclusive you will never have one unless you shell out big time.

Re: questions about the CLASsics Line

The classics would've have been an awesome if it weren't for the BS of having Botcon, Walmart and Target exclusives.

The figures themselves are pretty awesome though.
