is this a scam? sorry if it is in the wrong section

I understand this may be off topic and this is from another toy forum but i feel comfortable asking here because i do not want that person to see this on the previous forum.

thanks for your understanding.

On another toy forum a member wanted to sell me mint rotf legends wheelie. I agreed. But the price they charged was ludacris. On ebay it is only 30 bucks. they wanted 43 bucks; you could buy age of extinction leader optimus prime for that amount of money. I made a deal with them saying i'd make a trade instead. They seemed to agree.

They listed characters they wanted such as cw onslaught. I said i'd buy it for them on amazon, ship it to their address and email them photos of tracking and buying confirmation.

then all of a sudden they said to send 43 bucks through paypal and then they would pay later. What does that even mean? This is when a red flag came up they said they need the cash now in order to help a "friend."

isn't that what most scammers say that they have to help a "friend."

He had a good feedback record from others who have traded with them b4.

-thanks

has anyone been scammed b4 and could help me avoid it?

-thank you very much.

Sounds like a scam completely.
Predahank is also right. If something doesn't feel right. Walk away. You can always find it somewhere else.

There's a number of people you need to be careful with on the internet when it comes to this. ESPECIALLY on facebook

Re: is this a scam? sorry if it is in the wrong section

should i email them and say this:

Hey not so fast.

You listed the characters and figures that you wanted to trade and you also asked what figures I had to trade.

Why did you all of a sudden bring up that "Friend" you had to help. You said "I'll buy later" what does that even mean?

Im sorry to be rude and nasty but that right here is what scammers say. they always say oh I gotta help my friend/ dying grandma or whatever.

I have had scammers say these EXACT lines before!

I saw your feedback and it is good but I am really suspicious right now.<_< >_>

that is all i have to say I am shocked to be frank.

Herculesbeetle, You are making yourself look DUMB GUY. It seems you DO NOT want to pay his asking price of $43 and making a stink for sympathy. If you do not agree then MOVE ON. Simple as that.
