Not when Hollwood have China. They should just film the next movies in China and screen it there only.

The implication was not that it was a good movie or series of movies but that people enjoyed the movies and enjoy each successive one more than the last enough to recommend to their friends to see it thereby growing the audience to them.

I would argue the fourth was the best AND that it is the least Transformers-like. Which says a lot.

The movie was universally praised by critics so you're simply wrong there. Opinion isn't fact.

I try not to contradict someone directly on matters of opinion, but you sir, are as dead-ass wrong about these two points as anyone has a reasonable right to be.
The first Bay TF movie had the least transformers in it. For a transformers movie, that's not a Good Thing™, in my opinion.
The Star Trek reboot movies are fun, sci-fi flicks. They are not Schindler's List, nor Citizen Kane. No one should expect them to be. The Stark Trek movies were easily the equal of any recent sci-fi movie in terms of fun. If you don't like them, that's fine, but know that you are in the minority of sci-fi movie-goers.

Then you'd clearly be the most wrong person on the Internet. Star Trek reboot and the garbage they followed it up were bad. Neither of them are Star Trek movies. Are they good sci-fi flicks? They are, but they are not Star Trek.
Again, critics do not make a movie good either, especially movies with errors and plots holes so big the Starship Enterprise glides through them with ease.
As for the Transformer movies, I'm not wrong at all, 4 was terrible. The first one is the only one that's tolerable.
And if you ask the MAJORITY of Star Trek fans you'll see they agree, but I'm guessing you don't frequent many Star Trek boards or you'd know this.

Re: Mark Wahlberg To Return For Transformers 5
I grew up on g1 Star Trek.
Loved the reboot.
So did my dad who was there when it started and loved it till the end.
There was No truer Star Trek fan than him....one of his kids is named James kirk.
He loved McCoy especially...thought they nailed his character.
Transformers AOE got like 9% on rotten tomatoes.
I was given it as a gift, tried to watch it twice and could not sit through it.
It's terrible.
The film is terrible....the subject matter is awesome but cant save it...even for die hard tf fans like those posting here.

I could list the stuff wrong with Star Trek here, but since this is a TF board I'll let it go, but yeah, I'm obviously more of a true fan than your dad, sorry.

I don't think you'll get banned and I'm interested in hearing what was wrong with the startrek movie. I consider myself a Star Trek fan, I grew up watching TNG and ds9 but I'm not one that goes on star trek fan sites/forums.
And for the record, I likes all the recent transformers movies, it is just the design and look of the transformers I don't like.

Re: Mark Wahlberg To Return For Transformers 5
Were any of the Transformers movies objectively "good"? I'd argue none of them really were, not from a script, narrative, or characterization perspective. Were they visually stunning special effects extravaganzas? 100% yes they were, and that's what matters most to me about them. If I want good storytelling and characterization, I read the IDW books. If I want to see live-action giant transforming robots, I watch the Bay movies.
