Re: Transformers and other figs and how they scale together.

I am on a few forums that discuss scale modelling, often it helps if there is a scale to go by to match to MP, Titans or other TFs if you wish to display them together. I find 1:72 scale is the most popular with many modellers, with 1:35 scale also being very popular. 1:35 is about the same size as those green army men most of us had as kids. 1:72 like most scales is taking an average person and shrinking them down 72 times. So if someone is 180cm tall, the figure would be 2.5cm tall...not sure if that is too large for taking a seat in an MP figure, but considering one of the headmasters heads are 3.5cm tall, as if a 2.5cm person was in a headmaster suit, then its a decent measure. The headmaster titans jets are close to a 1:72 scale airplane, a small one, so its a decent measure. Anyone have an MP scale jet photo next to a Titans jet for comparison?

What do u plan to do mixing those figures and TF lines? There are tonnes of 1:72 figure sets out there.

Cheers,

Ah, I also dont know if you guys have seen it, but at Walmart there is a new product line of little metal figures from Lord of the Rings to WWE to Disney etc. lines...some very impressive and many Marvel and DC comics..they are appx. 3cm tall or so...should be good for MP scale, but id have to check and I have no MPs in hand. Not sure who makes them, they are very new to market, but check your stores and they should be there.

Well, here's a very old shot of a display I had with some Halo MegaConstrux (formerly MegaBlocks) mini action figures.

I find it's not a question of scale that is the issue with mixing with other toys, but aesthetic. A lot of smaller toys have softer edges because of molding, materials, what have you. MP TFs, for example, have fairly sharp features, so the "look" is different when you mix other toy lines in.
