Perceptor - Eye-piece tutorial

This may take 30-60 minutes. Any questions? Just ask!

I hope my spelling a grammar are better this time too!

Quite often the final solution is not the first solution. I tried using a transparent plastic at first, twice. It's just from the bubble packaging(picture lower left). I lost both of these during painting. I mean gone. I also tried a little detail painting, but I didn't like it so I just painted over it(picture lower right). I also didn't have a light enough blue, but I will update with more photos when I finish it up. I guess my point is, keep at it and make it your mod.

Re: Perceptor - Eye-piece tutorial

I found a better blue, although it still looks dark in the photos. I'm still trying to figure out how to put crosshairs on it, but for now it's done. Any suggestions?

Re: Perceptor - Eye-piece tutorial

have you tried transparent blue legos or anything transparent blue plastic (from the dollar store) then score the crosshair on the inside part so it shows on the outside?

Re: Perceptor - Eye-piece tutorial

I tried a few different transparent pieces at first, but they were too thin to stay in place or too thick that you couldn't see any markings. I've never see any picture to suggest that the eyepiece is transparent either. Any image from LSOTW makes it the light blue, same as his other eye.
