I didn't want to go there since I know for a fact young people have ALWAYS been a bunch of arrogant know-at-alls.

The class is 3rd year Microeconomic theory, which can be incredibly boring math if you've got a prof who can't make it relatable to real life. That's probably what they meant.
As for Millennials... well keep in mind that most people on this board are probably millennials. Heck, I am, and I'm in my early 30s!

At least your students feel at ease enough with you to give somewhat humorous feedback though it's that disrespect for all the "dick" profs that grates on me. I'm a proud Gen-Xer and my parents taught me that I was NOT special, didn't know SHIT, and should respect my elders until I had some life experience under my belt.
Luckily in my line of work I get to let young people do it "their" way and cackle with glee as they fuck stuff up. I also get to offer jobs to the ones that listen to what I tell them and build on what I know rather than starting from scratch all the time.
