TFcon: has anyone ever been robbed or mugged?
Hello,
I was just wondering if anyone has ever been robbed/mugged at TFcon because some people will carry large amounts of money and merchandise?
Obviously there is a risk factor but I want to know specifically because this will be my first time at TFcon and want it to be enjoyable.
If you have any prevention tips please post them to help us all

I went as far as leaving my camera and wallet on top of the atm in the lobby for 5 minutes, and when I found it again, it was all there. It survived.
Do keep in mind, it is a hotel for an international airport, and DON'T EVER DO THAT, YOUR HEART WILL STOP.
But yeah, theft not really an issue. Unless you worry about the miniature soaps and such......

I've lived in this area for 23 (near 24) years and have never been robbed or mugged....been to the show 5 years, 3 working on it and never seen, or heard of a robbing or mugging.
Put your stuff in your hotel room or lock it in your car....you will be fine.

1. Dress to discourage unwanted attention from muggers.
2. Stick to well-lighted and well populated areas.
3. Walk with a sense of purpose. If you are wandering aimlessly or look lost you are more likely to become a target.
4. Travel in groups. Muggers are much more likely to go after individuals than groups.
5. Stay alert for possible dangers. (Like Megatron  )
