They are good. If you use one of the two cheaper shipping options with no insurance you will not get dinged by customs because they will declare a much lower value on the toy.

You are wrong.
Canada Post will charge any parcel that contains goods with a country of origin other than the USA or Canada. This means if your item was produced outside of North America, Canada wants their cut of the taxes. Toy collectors get hit a lot because almost all of our toys are made in China.
The same applies to packages marked as a gift as well. Once that packages value reaches $60, Customs will charge you.

I would recommend getting the Hasbro version instead, especially since it will be released anytime now. Outside of the silver paint on the trailer and orange paint on the cab lights on the Prime, the rest is the same as Takara and you are guaranteed to get 2 for the money you are spending and still have some change left.
