Playstation Optimus and Genesis Megatron

I hope I posted this in the right area, and if I didn't I apologize in advance.

While browsing reddit I came across these images of a Sega Genesis that transforms into a Megatron and a Playstation one transforming into an Optimus Prime.

Segatron is awesome, and the Primestation is cool too, but why would they decide to go retro for Megs but not for Prime? I woulda bought BOTH had they released Prime as a Super Nintendo (but considering it would probably be a Japanese Famicom, it wouldn't look like the console we all know).

In any case, they're still cool.

Getting both for sure. I love all the unusual versions Takara has been doing over the years... The Nike shoes, Popsicle Prime, Pen Prime, etc.

I asked myself the same question when I saw Prime
I'm guessing they need the approval of Nintendo and they need to pay them for the License or something
Maybee Nintendo charge too much for there taste or Nintendo wasn't interested

its a shame I agreed but like you said, they're still cool and look great in both modes
thanks Grimtron for sharing this, it's the first time I saw a Finished product of Prime

I'm tempted by theses since I'm both a video game collector as well a TF collector

I pre-ordered both ages ago and don't regret getting them. Hoping Segatron and Playstation Prime are just as neat, though I can't find pre-orders for Playstation Prime yet
