I like the WFC stuff as well. As far as Transformers I like that others don't or vice versa, I liked most of the Armada toys, but oddly did not like mini-cons. I may be odd in that I don't mind my toys to be bricks as long as they are good looking bricks.
I'm also a child of the G1 era, (born 1973), but unlike the others I like the G1 toys. O.K. you only had two display choices, alt-mode or just standing there in bot mode, but I have always liked realistic looking vehicles and these were the first transformers to do this.

I like Megatron a lot, in his various representations. His robot figure and look are usually awesome. But pretty well across the board (with maybe 1 or 2 exceptions), his alt modes lack 'authenticity', if you know what I mean. Also, transformations of many Megatrons lack either the intricacy or novelty of other key figures like Prime and BB. So it's a love hate thing I guess I have about Megs.

Another contrary opinion:
I hate the face on the new TFA Rodimus Minor figure. He looks like a chimpanzee.
Rest of the mold looks good, but that face. Am I the only one who thinks he's one ugly mofo?
