Did anyone get in on the Preorders at Robot Kingdom or Premium Collectables? I missed out. Any news on this actually hitting retails stores in US or Canada?

Yup Yup - picked him up on the Preorders at Robot Kingdom.
Figure + shipping and converted came to about $50 CAN.
They're supposed to ship out in May.

No news on these hitting retail stores as I read through the forums thus far but I may not be up to date. They may turn up at Toys On Fire at some point but they'll probably sell for $50+ PLUS shipping, so you're looking at $60+ CAN once it is released.

I certainly hope Blast Off for CW Bruticus won't be this costly IF they do release him like CW Groove !!

I had two on preorder at Robot Kingdom they cancelled one on me. I am not even collecting the CW figures I just want it because it is motorcycle. The extra one was for a friend.

Last year's "May Mayhem" was the online exclusive of Brake-Neck and Quickslinger, who never saw retail release. We don't know but can probably predict that Groove will be an online retailer exclusive as well. Unfortunately last year's two were never sold on toysrus.ca, amazon.ca, or walmart.ca. Only american sites or smaller Canada toy shops like Automaton.

In that case he will be widely available but for a limited time. I got the two last year both from Automaton Toys, and also amazon.com. Amazon ended up my best price. US retail plus cheap-ish shipping.

I avoided the RK pre-order because I'm expecting to get Groove for around 30-35 Canadian when said and done.

I am hoping Big Bad Toy store would have him on pre-order soon. I got Break-Neck and Quickslinger from them last year and I was very happy with their pricing and shipping.

I live near the border so I had BBTS ship to a post office in the US using the cheapest method possible ($5 USD in shipping cost) and I picked it up from there. Saved a lot of money not paying for cross border shipping and possible duties.

At this point, I would be more shocked if they didn't repeat May Mayhem and allow some US e-tailers to list PO's for Groove. All signs are pointing to more likely yes than no.
