ok boys,this one's kind of a doozy to explain the gist of it but here goes.

this is a thoughts/suggestions thread for input for making a trip for the wifey's/girlfriends/significant other you "push buttons with"

.

it's more of a way of saying thanks to the women in our lives who put up with us for pretty much the whole year,listening to us talk about tf's,buying tf's,upcoming tf's,etc.
i gotta say,they do put up with alot from us

after experiencing first hand this year at tfcon of a "un-amused" wifey and gang of female friends.,i'm willing to try to figure out a compromise for us.
it can be a day trip,where all the women would board a bus which will take them to a spa or something.it could even take them on tours or even dare i say it...shopping.

meanwhile,we can actually enjoy being at the convention instead of feeling rushed in the dealer room or feeling guilty sitting in a panel room while your other is up in the hotel room completely bored out of her mind.
i think if we can pool together enough guys,it should be a affordable way to enjoy the toronto trip,have a great time at tfcon and not fear the wrath of our significant others.

suggestions?

lol you mean you had issues chans? and she looked soo happy the times i saw her

i found a better solution. leave them at home. lol
course i dont live millions of miles away like you do. but mine is scared of getting the nerd kooties on her so she has no intention of coming.

though that (could) change cause as you guys know she almost castrated me cause i stayed so late hanging with you all lol.

go i hope she still wants to stay away like the plague lol

i guess i lucked out by not having to provide "picture proof"

the hard part about leaving her at home would be that the tfcon week for us had now been our "vacation" also for the last 3 years.

the first year was awesome because the whole greater toronto thing was all new to us.
we stayed for a full week.

the second year was a bit more lacluster mainly because we both had more expectations because of the previous year.
we stayed for 5 days.

the only thing i could honestly complain about this years was the women "ganging" up because of not having anything to do and being bored for 2-3 days straight in a hotel room.
we stayed for 5 days.

would be a good idea, my wife is coming next year for sure, so sending her out for a day trip would be good lol

lol ya its NEVER fun when the women decide to gang up on someone. kinda makes the man bits climb up into our throats doesnt it lol. or maybe thats just me when it happens. lolol

though it could be for protecting them

This is why I'm VERY thankful my wife enjoys TFCon too.
Sure she had her hands full with Keira at times, but over all she had a great time too.
So much so, she wants to be part of the customs class next year (yeah my wife is awesome)
Although I can totally understand what you guys are saying.
I'll talk to Louise & see if she can think of something from a womens POV.

OH & Rob, You totally need to stay at the Hotel next year !!!

Mine doesn't come to TFcon.

However, if you end up needing more numbers for something like a bus, I'm thinking she would be in for that. Especially if there's shopping or a spa involved.

My significant other doesn't give me problems. And you guys shouldn't tolerate anything from yours. You have your hobbies, she has hers, and that should be the end of it.

But then again, I wouldn't leave her holed up in a hotel room, but that is just me. If she says to leave her in the hotel room, and then gets mad for leaving her in the hotel room, then she is being completely ridiculous.

I seriously believe that the problem with most relationships is that most people just won't communicate with their partner. If you want something, ask for it, don't let the other person, guess. The whole "oh, you should JUST know" is B.S.

And you should be meeting the partner half way. If the other person has a hobby that makes them happy and doesn't hurt anyone, let them do it and let them enjoy it. Don't be a selfish ass and think only of yourself.

The best thing I can do to keep the peace is leave her at home. Why risk pulling the pin on that grenade?
