Re: Who else uses Shmax?

Currently ranked at 641. It's slowly been inching its way up (or down, as it were) as I get 1 figure here, or 2 there. Seeing you guys in the 200's is pretty amazing!

Still stuck at #768. My collection has kinda hit a brick wall since I lost my job.

Re: Who else uses Shmax?

I got logged in this morning, hurray! Another chance for this site.

Ummm, how the hay did I get Rank #147 though? Is it because I have like, tons and tons of figures? Or what?

Incidentally, my collection count according to Shmax is 724, which makes sense as they count the figures by packaging/partners with partners and all that, as I typically count every single figure and 3rd party product, which is still at 927 even though I sold a few things on the weekend. Because I sold two and bought two, heh, heh.

Apparently I'm the only one on the site to own the Robot Powered Machines Enforcer Ironhide vs. Mixmaster Battle Series 2 set. Which I find rather ridiculous as that thing has been hanging around Canada for ages, so you can't tell me I'm the only dude using Shmax who own's that thing. Unless... Maybe I am, in which case, WOW!

OH RIGHT! How come they don't fully list all of the Metal Heroes RPM figures? I own Soundwave, Highway Patrol Barricade and Optimus Prime in RPM packaging, but can't find those three on their site at all, so my count there is a bit off. Or was it Ironhide? I know that three of the four RPM Metal Heroes figures I own were not listed.

Re: Who else uses Shmax?

Looks like they went down, and may not be back anytime soon. And just when I was going to download my collection spreadsheet again =(

The last time I did it must be at least a few months out of date. Going to make it more difficult to fill in my Shelflife data now that I don't have an up to date listing to draw from.

Re: Who else uses Shmax?

I tried to log on this morning to throw a few new figures up but not I cannot. I would love to have had time to download to my collection.

Hope they get up and running again soon.

Re: Who else uses Shmax?

Well, that was an utterly pointless site. I mean seriously, how do you screw up so badly as to lose your entire website?

Um, correct me if I'm wrong though, what's the big deal about shelf life? So there's another option out there? Who cares?

Whatever, thanks to my OCD Collecting Mindset I have lists and lists and back-ups of back-up lists all over the place.

Well, I know primarily I didn't want to have to re-enter hundreds of items into a new database. And since it was already done with Shmax I was content to leave it on there for now.

It seems I can't find my most recent back up, so I'm missing all my items since May of last year. Since I last exported my list from Shmax.

As for Shelflife, beyond the cosmetic look I don't care for on the site. I just logged back in for the first time in awhile.

And I can't even seem to be able to get it to show me the 25 figures it says I have in my collection.. That doesn't seem very user friendly to me. Obviously I'm missing something, but Shmax when I stumbled on it. Was very easy, simple and straight forward to use.

I should have kept better backups, and I know better. And I did what most people do and I didn't =(
