How much money do people pay nowadays for Chinese wedding Banquet?

I was asking this guy from work, he is a Philipino...he told me 50...i am like he is so cheap. I cannot say a person is generous when they pay a 100. I think that's pretty much average. You guys are great if u pay more than 100. Chinese Banquet is quite expensive, usually including the wine, etc etc, already 1000 dollars a table.

Yeah, you wouldn't want to look cheap at such an important event.

Heck, I found out my friend only gives 10% tip for food/services...I told him he was cheap (15% is the norm here), but he considers himself generous since his parents only give 5% tip...

Because they're usually paid less than the minimum wage of each province. Tiping is a big factor in the their income.
