Seem the cartoon likes the left. But the toy itself seems to be favouring the right.

Cast your votes now! For science.
Awesome question, dude!
Actually his gun fits in his hand. His scope cannon (which I think you meant) is on the shoulder.

If you wanna consider it a humanoid quality for Transformers, then yes, most would be right handed.

Therefore to balance out, his scope cannon would be on the left, as shown below:

But he's also supposed to be a genius, like Einstein or da Vinci or Isaac Newton. Who were all left-handed.

So, to balance him out, the scope cannon [if you must] should go on his right shoulder?

Hmmm...

After consulting with my fellow geniuses Einstein, Newton, & Quinn Mallory, we conclude that your logic is sound.

Kinda depends on you really...there have been neurological and psychological studies that show if whichever handed you are, you'll have a subconscious preference to that when applied to the external world...I wonder how many left handed people out there put their Transformers guns in their left hand. I know my first instinct is to put them in their right.

Good point. All my TFs hold their guns/weapons in their right, EXCEPT when the display setup requires them to hold it in their left (if otherwise their rifles would be jamming up the backside of the 'bot in front of them).

Going pack to the Perceptor question: I only have Magnificus (eHobby Black Perceptor), but I think I keep the scope on his right shoulder.

I'm left handed and all my TF's hold their weapons/accessory in their right hand.
