Re: Quick review: Impossible Toys TRNS-01 Valkyrie
So I just got 2 of these things, the crap paint jobs don't stop.
I can see what looks like brush strokes in the finish. At least one of the ones I got looks better than the other.
Arcee #1
This is the better of the two. Paint seems laid on pretty thick though. Theres a big smudge on the windshield.
Arcee #2
Black choppy line on the chest area, flashing on the fender. Not happy! Need to open them up and check the rest out. Might be returning these. Should have been $30 tops, not $70.

Re: Quick review: Impossible Toys TRNS-01 Valkyrie
So yeah... out of package pics.
Not so good.
This one has the same floppy right foot problem that Pascal's had. Paint job on the left foot is brutal. Don't know how that made it past quality control.
Nice crack on the right arm.
I think this one is going back to BBTS.

Glad I didn't bother with these. Even if I paid $35 for that I'd feel ripped off it looks like! And this is what, twice that?

Wow, I was gonna try and track down Arcee in the dealer room this weekend...but now I think I'd rather save my money for something else.

Re: Quick review: Impossible Toys TRNS-01 Valkyrie
I'm not wasting any more money returning this figure to BBTS for what will be a similar figure with similar issues in return. Shipping it back would probably require tracking, and I already paid for UPS airmail shipping + all the various fees.
And to be honest, I don't think a new headsculpt with a different paint job will save that mold, unless the entire figure is sprayed with black paint.

thanks for all the quick reviewing! I decided to cancel my order since it hasn't shipped yet and apply the store credit to the Seacons instead.

Comments like this make me really want to see a Night-bird before buying one.

Re: Quick review: Impossible Toys TRNS-01 Valkyrie
Actually, if the entire figure is painted and painted WELL, it *could* help solve some of the problems, like the loose foot. A layer of paint would probably add friction to that area. Also, adding some thickness to the tabs with paint would maybe help them lock better. Time will tell!
Not counting the bad paint job, I think I made the figure sound worse than it really is. I would compare it more to a Studio Half Eye figure (although rougher - molding on SHE figures is usually impeccable, and that's not the case with this figure, some plastic flash and some parts that don't join seamlessly) than a Transformer toy. Something cool but relatively fragile meant to be put on display and transformed a few times. It doesn't have the toy-like qualities of the stuff released by Fansproject, for example.

Re: Quick review: Impossible Toys TRNS-01 Valkyrie
WOW! <--not the good kind
Big time thanks go to both Pascal and Megamould for their reviews (you took one for the team!). I came thisclose to plunking down $ for that Arcee, hoping to put it amongst my G1s. Now I know better.
Barring a miracle, I'm now seriously reconsidering purchasing a certain "bird" that flies at night.
