Best deal you've ever gotten on a Transformer...

I was revising my collection the other night and I was remembering some of the great deals I got on TF's over the years, so I was wondering what's the best deal you've ever gotten on a Transformer from any source?

Here's my highlights

-MIB C-309 God Bomber for $28.00 - from eBay, the seller didn't accept Paypal, hence the low selling price
-Breast Force Jaguar - 1.99 in a bag of stuff from Value Village
-Lord Zarak - 99 cents in a bag of stuff from Value Village
-G1 Blurr in excellent condition from a Yard Sale for 50 cents
-G2 Devastator, G2 Superion and G1 Megatron from a friend for a 6 pack of Steam Whistle beer
-G1 Optimus Prime for a couple of Toy Biz Marvel figures in a trade (and the marvel figures cost me next to nothing in another trade)

I've gotten some other GOOD deals over the years, but nothing compares to those deals.

So where did everyone else strike Gold?

Cheers!
-Ian

Re: Best deal you've ever gotten on a Transformer...

I don't think I've ever gotten good deals like that. Then again, I don't go for rare or rare-ish G1 stuff.

My good deals from the past:
- MIB (but never removed from the box/tray) Nucleon Quest SuperConvoy (black Powermaster Prime) for $100
- Fusion Cluster Protoform Prime and Starscream (the clear variants) for about $30 each
- Henkei Crystal Convoy (Clear Classics Prime) for $80

Seeing as how each of the above now go for well over double of the above prices; it's no "striking gold", but still nice nonetheless.

Re: Best deal you've ever gotten on a Transformer...

I would have to say last years clearance sale from Walmart. I got:

Ultimate Bumblebee
Transformers leader brawl
Transformers Animated megs/prime 2 pack
All for 60-75% off!

I never found anything at the 2nd hand stores like some members out there but maybe some day! : )

Cheers!

$13 for a MISB C9 RID Air Attack Optimus Primal.
$65 for a Big Convoy vs Magmatron giftset. I kept seeing atleast more then that for just one of those figures when I got it.
Free G1 PowerMaster Optimus Prime ....for my 5th birthday.

Nothing spectacular. I'd say the best deal I've gotten was 20th Anniversary Masterpiece Prime at Winners for (I think) $39.
