I'm serious about an MP Grimlock do-over. It's likely that the foremost reason there haven't been other MP Dinobots (other than MP Dinobot... hur hur) is because Takara put itself between a rock and a hard place in terms of scale. MP-08 is now too small in comparison to MP-10, which is the current standard bearer for the entire MP line. The rest of the dinos need to be the right scale relative to MP-10, but that would have them towering over MP-08. Redo Grimlock and you open the gate to all five, easy money.

Very true. EVERY 3P is releasing the same old shit in "their" vision of what the figures should be. It seems like 3P is flooding the market with too many options instead of being interesting with something new and not done before.
Take a look at that AoE Lockdown figure. Hell, I want to get one. Dinobots and Combiners and other "versions" of MP figures seem like everyone has something.
So yeah, I can see HasTak's concern with making legit versions

If Hastak was really worried about 3p companies, we'd hear about it.

There would be legal ramifications.

3p is a minor blip on a billion dollar + companies radar.

I think its ludicrous to believe that what 3p company's knock off has any bearing on Hasbro or Takara's business direction.

^ Agreed. By that logic, Takara shouldn't have bothered to release MP-36 because there were already so many 3P Megatrons out there.

Well, the only really good 3P MP-36's that came out were the ones copied from the official MP-36. The ones that were released before Takara's MP-36 were not very show accurate.

Agreed, though at the price of current smaller TT MPs, the price would be in 3P territory. I currently have my Mp-08 Grimlock sitting with my CHUG line as he scales properly with them. I pick up the FT Iron Dibots for my MP line. You could also go with the Giga Power series which are quite nice as well and are even bigger than the FansToys line
