Impossible Toys - Energon Cubes

These were on clearance / Markdown and finally were cheap enough to try them out.

You get six to a pack, and they come with their batteries installed and ready to go.

They are a pinkish color (Would have preferred more purple), and light up bright enough. they could have been a little more opaque, you can see the bright dot of the bulb in the middle of them when switched on.

But other than that, I like them. They seem to be in a good scale for the FP Insecticons, which is what I had wanted them to display with.

Only downside, I had one totally defective one, and one that only stays on when I keep pressure on the button.

I'll be checking to see if I can get them replaced.

Did you find that they weren't true cubes. That theres a bit of a slant from the base up. I tried to use the Impossible Toys's Energon cubes as the center cube for a bunch of Purple cubes I had from a guy that made them in Calgary. It sorta eliminates that whole brigth dot from the bulb.

That was my only meh comment about the product.

BBTS was clearancing them out with the Impossible toys items. Was about $15 for a set. Down from about $35?? If I remember right.

And yes, they aren't exact cubes, they seem to have a flat bottom and a very slight curve going up towards the top. Close but not quite a cube.

I love the cubes, and don't really see a problem with the glow.

Now if only someone would make those "compressed" energon cubes!

Got my replacement cubes today and they work.

BBTS was great, they shipped the replacements out right away. And I can't believe the big box they sent them out in and all the bubble wrap.
