Street Fighter II vs Transformers Official Images

The Takara Tomy Mall has updated their website with official images of the just announced Street Fighter II vs Transformers TakaraTomy Mall Exclusive sets. As mentioned previously, these figures are due in May and feature Ryu vs Bison (using the Titans Return Octone and Blitzwing molds respectively) and a second set featuring Chun Li vs Ken (Generations Arcee and Titans Return Hot Rod respectivley). There are a lot of great, clear images here including some amazing shots of the characters doing their special moves. Check out the images after the jump!

These are awesome! I'm a lot more interested in these than the previous cross-over with Star Wars. Chun-Li looks great and I might even finally give that mold a try with the Bison deco, but while I'm ok with Ken in the Hot Rod mold, it's a bit disappointing that he won't scale well with Ryu. If Ryu was a deluxe, I'd be in for all of them. The only thing holding me back is the upmark that comes with ordering from TT Mall.

Not sure but I know someone digibashed that Chun Li like a year ago. The more I see them the more I want them

I like these figures as well. But gonna have to pass on them since they’re not in scale with each other. Was Ryu that much bigger than Ken in the game?? Lol. Sorry but I’m a slave to the scale chart. Money saved.

These are certainly hit or miss. Some will be disappointed that their fave SF character isn't there, or in the wrong sculpt. Others will just pass them by.

Either way, these are way better than other crossovers that look like ass.

I kinda want to see more. A Bulkhead E.Honda, Springer Guile, Sixshot Sagat, Octone would have fit Akuma better. Ryu should have used the other car sculpt. Sakura would work using RID Windblade. Maybe Chromia as Cammy. CW Optimus Prime seems beefy enough for Zangief. Cyb Crumplezone would make for a good Blanka, but I think the molds are too old. A modified ANI Lockdown would be a nice lanky Dhalsim.

Before the redeco, I've never looked at any of these molds and said "that'd make a great Street Fighter character", and the only deco here I find particularly recognizable is Chun-Li's outfit. Why does Ryu need to turn into a transport and plane anyway?

Having been a relentless collector of TR redecos, I feel like I can finally take a pass on the reuse of some TR toys.
