I just re-watched all the Robot Chicken Star Wars videos. I look forwards their TFA spoofs.

Robot Chicken Star Wars was hilarious. I really enjoyed the first one when Ponda Baba got his arm cut off and lost his job cause he was a draftsman/architect

Is Family Guy still on? I liked their spoofs too.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII Discussion (Spoilers Within)

I've been thinking about this awards thing today.

It could get a Best Picture nomination since the Academy Awards expanded Best Picture to include ten nominees.

Looking at the list RP put for visual effects my though is that Mad Max will win in that category, as well as the costume category.

I didn't think the costumes were anything special in TFA myself but I do think they will look for categories to plug it into just so the Academy Awards can get a boost from the highest grossing film of all time being part of the program.

^ Agree

We should get a full short list soon.

As much as a fan of SW as I am, I don't know if it stands a chance, but I never understand half there picks so what do I know.

The Visual effects were good but so were alot of other movies too. Lots of good movies on the lists, as well as some I've never heard of, as usual.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII Discussion (Spoilers Within)

well this is disapointing

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, director J.J. Abrams confirmed that there will not be an extended cut of The Force Awakens. Also new listings on Amazon suggest that TFA Blu-Ray/DVD will be released on June 30

From EW:

“There will be deleted scenes, but not an extended version,” Abrams told us after the panel for his upcoming Hulu series 11.22.63 at the Television Critics Association’s press tour in Beverly Hills on Saturday.

We also asked what the longest cut of the film was before he edited it down to two hours and 16 minutes for theatrical release.

“I don’t know what the longest cut was,” Abrams said. “Probably, if it were with credits, close to two hours and 50 minutes was the first cut.”

Damn. Hopefully somebody does a fan cut with deleted scenes if they are worth watching.

Am I the only one that thinks it is funny that Poe is the one that shoots and kills Finn's Stormtrooper buddy.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII Discussion (Spoilers Within)

Went to see it for a second time last night and actually came out feeling much better about it, so I'm pretty happy

The only thing that still annoys/confuses me is the people on Maz's planet looking up and seeing the shots from Starkiller base streaking across space, then seeing the planets explode. Even if Starkiller base and the target planets were in the next system over (which I'm pretty sure they weren't), I can't see how they were supposed to see them.

I know, I know, movie magic and all, but it still bugged me
