Re: Fan Expo Canada 2010
Fan Expo last year did sport some TF related guests, but some of them involve paying for them.
Last year TF wise they had:
Len Wein (Writer from episodes in G1 Season 3, Beast Wars and Beast Machines)
Leonard Nimoy (Voice of G1 Galvatron in TF:TM)
Brade Swaile (Voice of Kicker in TF: Energon)
Scott Mcneil (Voice of...... Dinobot, Rattrap, Silverbolt, Waspitnator, Jetfire, the list goes on and on)
Lee Tochar (Voice of Beast Wars Ravage)
Marvin Maiano (Designer from Beast Machines)
Alex Milne (IDW artist from Megatron Origins, movie books)
Matt Moylan (Lilformers fame)
Hasbro Canada was also present and had a table
TF toy wise.......... this and that, I remember stuff ranging from a little overpriced ROTF stuff to one guy having City Commander and company. Toy wise, don't get your hopes up, TF comic wise... it's a better bet

Re: Fan Expo Canada 2010
Yeah, not much in the way of Transformers.
I did pick up some fairly cheap loose figures last year, and I met up with good folks from the boards like Downshift who supplied me with an Aveo Swerve.

Re: Fan Expo Canada 2010
The only Transformers related guests this year, that I can see, are Alex Milne(artist) and Johnny Yong Bosch(WFC Bumblebee). Hopefully I can get my hands on a few WFC BB figures before FanExpo.

Re: Fan Expo Canada 2010
This is my first year going, and I wanted to ask: What's their prices like for anime stuff? Should I be expecting to pay import store prices?

Re: Fan Expo Canada 2010
TF specific-stuff is harder to find, and TFCon is much better for that. BUT, Hasbro will have more than just a table this year. They will be there in a BIG way, as they have a gigantic space right next to Marvel....we haven't heard yet for sure, but they may bring in some special products...
When you go to Fan Expo for a single thing, its not the greatest experience...but if you enjoy all the different panels and tpes of expos and sketching duels and celebrities and cartoon previews and special movie screenings and Masquerade, then you will have a good time.

They range from more than an import store to being a pretty good price. The retailers vary a lot in pricing so I'd advise shopping around.
