Well, both BBTS and A3U don't charge until the items are in in January (you can set it to "preorder" on the A3U checkout, and BBTS just doesn't charge until it's there), so it doesn't seem to be a pay-now situation...at least that's one way to look at it.

Neither mention it being a special edition or limited figure, though you're right it's a little unclear as to whether this is the only time they'll offer the FX-1 figure...some clarity would be helpful.

They probably don't want to mention it so more people will be inclined to buy it now. How would this work though if people back out? I guess the donation is made by that time already anyway.

Normally I would but I wouldn't feel right knowing I may likely have to cancel when it's a charity situation.

Well, like I said, there's so much coming down the pipe (both 3rd party and retail, though especially 3rd party) that it's hard to keep up...especially my wallet. It's nice to have choice but it's tough when I want most/all of them lol

Totally. The big problem is I know MP Soundwave is coming out in January. If it wasn't for that I could probably afford FX-1. Except I still don't have AM Nemesis Prime or Unicron, PE Assault Force X...etc etc.

Um, is there any indication what FX-1 is? Like.. is there some chance it's their not-Chromdome? The price seems a bit low, to say the least.

Meanwhile, I thought I would put this here as an aside: I've decided to try selling stuff on eBay. My buddy and I spent Sunday doing TF photoshoots. His dad used to be the Canucks' photographer so we had access to some awesome equipment. Autobot clones never looked so cool

The reigning opinion is that it's the not-Chromedome, based on the description, and the box side art that they show (seems to show an line drawing of half of Chromdome's head).

Good luck with your eBay sales! I only ever tried once... Hasbro Classics Voyager Prime. It didn't sell.

Fan speculation is FX-1 is Chromedome. It looks like his head on the box and the BBTS product code may be a clever hint of the identity.
