Re: Pre-Order or wait for Retail?

Hmm, that's a lot of extra figures in that case assortment. Can you order single sets? Otherwise it'd be a good case for splitting up with a buddy or two. Since it's a first wave it'll likely be readily available at the retail level (ie, over-ordered). Wave 2 with Bruticus would be the wave I'd preorder.

I preordered cases of the next wave of Prime Deluxe and Voyager, but only because the assortments were decent. I have no faith in retail availability where I live these days.

Re: Pre-Order or wait for Retail?

Yeah; you can order a set of 3.

For the PRiD wave 4 figures it's more of a pain, since the set of 3 is marked up due to there being only one Airrachnid in a box (and there's a Bumblebee attached to the set).

But then, that's less BBTS, more Hasbro packing uneven case assortments that would cause them to have a lot of leftover extra stock if they sold the toys otherwise.

Preordered the set of 3, but I'll probably end up reselling Jazz.

Re: Pre-Order or wait for Retail?

I'd never pre-order any domestic release. These figures are going to be all over the stores when they show up, and likely on sale a few times as well. I can wait for the sale. Patience is a good discipline to have when collecting transformers.

Re: Pre-Order or wait for Retail?

I pre-ordered the Case of 8. I calculated everything including shipping and it ends up to about the $16.xx each. I'll be keeping 2 each and offering the extra Jazz and Ops to anyone that's interested in here.

Does anyone get dinged on duty when they order from BBTS?

I'll wait. Since I work where I work i would pretty much see them coming in through out the night anyway

Re: Pre-Order or wait for Retail?

We still don't have anything past Cyberverse Legions here at Walmart. And Zellers, well $24 a deluxe they may as well have none (Still only have wave 1 anyway)

I put in a PO and made one for Takara Airrachnid since it's cheaper than the Hasbro assortment. I don't really want another Bee. And I will need to see WJ repaint in person. The pictures don't make him look so good.

There's time, and if I do find anything at retail I will cancel the POs, so no harm in placing a hold.

Re: Pre-Order or wait for Retail?

For some reason I really think these will hit retail en-masse compared to Skyshadow/Junkheap and the last of the movie stuff...as much as I like guarantees, Giant is soaking all my pre-order cash up ATM....
