TFcon 2008 Hauls

Apparently, when I asked why agesthreeandup put all their KOs at clearance prices...they said because of the new ebay rule not allowing KOs to be sold, they decided to liquidate all their remaining KO Transformers. So whatever you saw at the convention was the last remaining KOs for any figure they had left. I was lucky enough to pick up 2 of the clear sludges for $50 near the end of the show....I was also hoping to find the clear black mirage and swoop, but they said theyre sold out and they wont be getting anymore KOs ever again. just a little rant that u guys might want to know....

Not a huge haul this year...

And...

Toys... Nothing special here. Sky Lynx, Uni figures, and the Joes were all bought in the dealer's room. Skids, the Primes (doing what could perhaps be called a 'terrorist fist bump'... sorry, had to - blame the silliness on Fox News) and Micro Superion were all culled from Stormy's collection.

Oh, and I bought a couple of Original BSG Pegasus patches...

Far more that I wanted, but... so many toys, and so little money.

I think my favorite piece I picked up has to be G1 Blitzwing followed by the Insecticons. I am also pleased to have the new Universe figures and Energon Down Shift. All the rest are pretty much cool stuff I liked when I saw them.

i got a nemisis prime alt and twincast reissue from sherez, two more alts from dark rage (finally got them all), 2/3 of reflector and a loose rh victory saber from vectorsigma, two guns for reflector from a random dealer and finished my abominus and bruticus from the junker boxes (good condition too) and three posters signed. and finally a virus on my computer, thank god for ps3

And I go to unpack my haul, only to find...

The replacement TM Megatron I picked up broke in my luggage. The whole shoulder and left arm snapped off.

Though it's a DIFFERENT defect than on my current figure, and I could salvage some parts, I still need an intact torso as the arm assembly on the new one broke altogether, and the old one has the waist peg broken.

Man am I upset...

Being a insane completest a lot of stuff I bought at TFcon was oddball stuff due to having almost all Transformers had to offer in it's stateside run from now to present. So I found myself this year buying stuff more to support dealers and friends rather then to add to my collection completely. Even in the Trivia, I gave away my prize to a little boy.

Heh, seriously though, thanks to everyone who dropped by and bought sketches & prints. I did more than twice as well as last year!

Next week I'll find some time to look into the feasibility of taking orders online for folks who couldn't attend TFcon. If I do start taking orders you'll see an announcement on lilformers.com.
