Transformers Collection

Hello one and all!

I recently decided a few months ago that I wanted to resize and revamp my collection of Star Wars, G.I. Joe, McFarlane, etc.

I came to a conclusion that I also wanted to start a nice Transformers collection of only those I want from G1 along with the TRU Masterpiece Soundwave (which I got at the OCC). As well I would complete my 12" Star Wars lines, but this post is about the collection of Transformers I have acquired over the last couple months (with the newly received today Encore Ironhide, Ratchet & Sky Lynx... thanks again to Dropkick ).

My goal is to get all of 1984 (which I am almost done) along with selections from '85 & '86 with only Scorponok & Fort Max from '87. Most are complete but it's not a huge concern to me if I am getting a good deal (parts are easily obtainable) or if it doesn't affect the look of them in robot mode (ie. missing a couple pieces for Scorp but they're for city mode). I am going the route of either vintage, Commemorative, Encore and high-quality KOs (I know some of you cringe at the thought but they look fantastic the ones I've gotten).

Anyways before this gets too long of a ramble let's let the pictures speak for themselves!

They were what came in the box. He's the commemorative series version. You know what I meant to look for the small missiles yesterday and got caught up in the other stuff I scored I forgot!

Re: Transformers Collection

Time for an updated pic! Recently did some basement renos to give my kids an awesome playroom and myself an office, of course.

Here's the collection as it stands now. Only a few G1 pieces needed to finish my list of wants. On the MP side of things however that's a different story, lol. Not pictured but I've recently added CW Defensor and I have Vortex & Blast Off for CW Bruticus so far.

And although not TF related I did start a small LEGO collection of fav TV & movie pieces for my desk.

Re: Transformers Collection

Nice display. Also nice that you have some more real estate to work with which is what I'm lacking.
It makes me happy that scorponok acquired some chrome guard towers lol
