Essentally it means when you go to a movie that looks amazing in the previews, but ultimately sucks in the theater.
So, this movie Battle LA, better not skyline me.

Well, lets not go crazy. It has been a long time since I saw a grown up movie in the theater, I will give my review when it hits DVD :P

haha. Yeah, I saw Skyline and I was definitely taken aback by how shitty it turned out to be. Battle: LA isn't like that. It is what it is. Long, two hour ground battle. If you've seen Black Hawk Down, that's basically what it was like except substitute Somalis for bucket-headed aliens.

Saw it last night, got "Skylined". Main character's story of having lost men and the rest of the lame story wasn't worth the drive and $4.99 I paid.
I should have downloaded a screener.

Re: Battle: L.A.
Saw it on Saturday and it is good for a mindless blow em up film. The story was nothing short of thin and with no real answers. The characters gave you very little reason to care for them. They try in a very formulaic way to get you invovled with the characters in the first act but once you get to the people blowing up part, there is little impact when a charatcer "you know" dies.
This is in no way a classic or a memerable film but it wasn't bad. A good little distraction that won't bore you is the best I can give it.

When I watch hockey, I don't care for backstories and character development, I just want the action.
