Well I guess that's pooh-pooh for me. I have the black Soundblaster, but the blue OG would have been nice (especially at that price)

well, if they made a Soundwave again, it'd have to be a brand new mold. Apparently Hasbro broke the original G1 mold after the SDCC version. (which technically can happen when you retool for Soundblaster, then tool again to get flat-chested Wave)

Is there a possibility that U 3.0 Soundwave may just be ML Soundwave with the electronics removed?
I mean, the mold already exists. It looks like Soundwave. There's little to no additional design work needed. And if it is no longer a functional MP3 player then there's no need to get it checked out by the FCC and other electronic authorities. And ML Soundwave was never released by Hasbro.
Then again, if they're planning to release more tape-bots, I think that they might want to redesign ML Soundwave's chest, or upscale it slightly (but in that case it might be better and cheaper to design from scratch).

at $35, it's worth it. I paid$60 at TFCon. They have some good prices...$35 for Alt Megatron and $40 Black Convoy.
