Quick question, if you were to start an MP collection, and that MP-10 is kind of expensive, which other Optimus would you use as your "MAIN" Optimus Prime?

Agreed. I've been pretty "cheap" since tracks came out in regards to masterpiece but wouldn't even bother without a soundwave or mp-10. They are essentially as good as it gets in terms of MPs (IMHO) and centrepieces of any mp collection.

If you want a non-Masterpiece as a "stand-in" for a MasterPiece collection, then it's not a Masterpiece collection.

If I could not get an MP-10 for my Transformers collection, the "next best" Optimus Prime I would go for, to have Optimus representation, would be a G1 (Re-issue) Optimus Prime.

But, with this being a Masterpiece Appreciation thread, it would be awkward to stray from considering Masterpiece figures.

I think it's fair game to use certain figures as stand-ins in a Masterpiece collection if an official MP hasn't been released and the scale is more or less right. MP-10 is the standard bearer, though.

I think YOTH Optimus Prime would be a great option.
