Best methods for posing?

Sorry if it's been mentioned elsewhere - I find I have difficulty posing some of my combiner wars combiners because gravity and balance.

Any ideas or suggestions for being able to pose them in their battle poses or whatever without them teetering precariously from the weight of a limb?

I find that fiddling around with the foot's heel spur (thumb in hand mode) can help, but they still seem unstable. I usually just prop them in the corners on my shelves and hope for the best.

If you don't mind spending a bit of cash, you can get the Perfect Effect add on kit to replace the foot to give you better posing ability. There are other third party options to go with, Perfect Effect is just the one I picked.

Otherwise, as Alexander Quinn said, put them in the corner and hope for the best.

Re: Best methods for posing?

My biggest challenge is with the Hot Spot/Onslaught torso. Once I have all the limbs connected and I stand the combiner upright, the weight of the upper body tends to make it hunch forward. I can rotate the hip joints one click backward to compensate, but the pose still ends up looking slightly awkward.

Edited to add: With the standard handfootguns, the ONLY stable pose I've ever achieved with a combiner is standing upright with legs straight. Don't even think about bending those hips or knees unless you have some way to brace the whole thing in place.

The hunch forward has something to do with the ratchets insides Hot Spot/Onslaught. There's a fix for that on Shapeways or something like that.

Re: Best methods for posing?

My Superion is very stable. He's great with poses where he leaning forward, one arm outstretched. Just make sure his back leg (whichever is furthest from the gun) stays relatively close to his torso. Also, make sure at least one of the feet is completely flat. In the pose I use, I have the forward foot parallel to and directly under the outstretched arm.

Re: Best methods for posing?

I noticed on hotspot and onslaught if you have one leg in the normal position and one clicked back it kinda offsets the akwardness
