My wife worked with Jewel on a movie set (my wife works as crafty). Jewel is a great person according my wife, she even signed my wife's Firefly hoodie.

Ya, I read that she had to put on 20 pounds for her role as Kaylee. Then when they did the movie, they told her that she wouldn't have to put on the weight again cuz they wouldn't give her role to someone else

But ya now I think she may be the main reason I go see her. Though I enjoyed her on Stargate Atlantis too and want to get a picture of her in her SGA uniform signed so I can put it beside my Amanda Tapping as Samantha Carter picture (also SGA uniform)

Nice. I wasn't a huge fan of Atlantis so I stopped watching after a few episodes, but may need to go back to check out Jewel's character.

Years ago, when my buddy worked at Bridge Studios he invited me one Sunday when there was nobody at the studio, to take me around the sets. I got to check out both the SG1 stargate room set and the Atlantis ship set. Very cool stuff. I wish I had a camera at the time, I should have taken pictures.

Dude, that's so cool. I used to love SG1 when I lived with my parents, never followed it super closely but watched it every time I noticed it was on. By the time the other shows started I was too busy to follow TV, I'd love to go back and check them out.

I have a friend who married a girl who looks a whole lot like Jewel. If she cosplayed, she'd be a dead ringer.

I am a big SG:Atlantis fan. Jewel's character really grew on me as it developed. Wish I could go to the expo this year
