Re: The Montreal/Quebec Local Fans Banter Thread

MP Bluestreak is still around at some TRUs. I saw some last weekend. I don't remember if it was at Boisbriand or Vaudreuil (most likely here), but he's still out there. You have to look in the video game section.

Or you can try the KO version. It's findable on eBay. I don't have it, so I can't speak to the quality.

Re: The Montreal/Quebec Local Fans Banter Thread

Hey guys, so I moved away from MTL many many years ago, but I was wondering if anyone can fill me in on something:

I'm born in 1984 but for some reason I definitely watched G1 episodes on TV when I was a kid (around 3 or 4). We even managed to record some onto VHS -- but my dad edited out the commercials. They had the standard S1 commercial bumpers, so they weren't S5 episodes with the PMOP puppet.

Does anyone know how this was possible? Was G1 being aired as syndicated repeats in the late 80s? Does anyone know what channels played it?

Thanks for any help

In french the show aired until 1989 or 1990 I think, right after school along with G.I. Joe and TMNT. Don't remember the channel though.

Re: The Montreal/Quebec Local Fans Banter Thread

Hey guys!

I'll drop this here, since I'd rather do this locally...

I just got the Takara United Computron boxset, I wanted to know if anyone who owns the Hasbro Computron set would be interested in trading their Orange Hasbro Afterburner for my Red Takara Afterburner?

Let me know!

Drove down to Chicago for TFCON and found a couple of the exclusive Walgreens TR Brainstorm. Going to put them on my sales thread, but am posting here first if any locals are interested. Selling them for $45 CDN to try to make up some gas money

I can meet up on the south shore or downtown Montreal during the week. PM if interested.

Yeah, I can understand that... unfortunately, it's just too convenient to my location to cut out of my shopping options.

I LOVE Tux. Had that one as a kid... he's great! Would love to find a vintage one in great shape. I'm not going in on the new "MP" ones though... they're too small, too expensive, and they aren't going to cover most of the line because they're only based on the one anime. They do look cool, though.

I wish!

But yeah, it seems like everybody who has access to them is trying to make (several) fast bucks.

Re: The Montreal/Quebec Local Fans Banter Thread

I ordered 2 from the Walgreen's website last week so I'll have an extra that I'll let go for pretty much cost. I don't know what cost is yet though. It has to ship from the US to my place first.
