No comment about the UM armour yet. Still waiting for my local comic book store to get them.
Dude. I've lost 2 TM Megatrons to brittleness. It really really sucks.

And I REALLY hope they do a Powermaster Prime w/Apex Armor trailer (or at least a repaint of City Commander in that style)

Re: Happy with your City Commander armour?

My example is a christmas present, so I only gave it a quick inspection and did not transform it.
The only flaws I could see was some 2 part pieces were not fully pressed together, seen only from the bottom of the trailer. Sadly this distorts the bumper's lines in trailer mode, but it looks like a case of simply pressing the pieces together with my fingers. The plastic quality overall is fine, but the blue plastic will whiten under stress, and makes any sprue attachment points visible.
Still, I have to say, for a limited production "homemade" toy, the City Commander is fantastic and I recommend it fully.

A problem several legitimate TFs have too.

Re: Happy with your City Commander armour?

can't say anything bad bout it lovin' it big time as I am a very selective collector and no regrets at all.

I just hope they make a small weapons kit for him with the shoulder rockets and a proper white gun a la G1,to complete the look.

Re: Happy with your City Commander armour?

I love it. One problem however: one of the fists on mine wouldn't rotate until I put enough pressure one it to almost break the thing, but I finally got movement. So, with that experience under my belt, I tried to see if there was any up-down articulation on the head. It seemed not, but also seemed like it may be stuck like the fist was, so I tried to loosen up what I thought may be a stuck ball joint, and yep, u guessed it, his head came off in my hand! (dammit!).

Oh well, I can fix it when i have time. Right now, some double-sided tape is holding his head on, and i'm thinking if I feel really adventurous, I may attempt to add a ball joint since I have to fix it anyway.

Still love this piece, head attached or not. Looks especially badass with G1 shoulder launchers attached!

Re: Happy with your City Commander armour?

There have been reports of missing parts, or pieces glued, like the chest door, so you can't flip over the head. One person received a City Commander with a missing face, yet the helmet was there. Just the face was missing.

nothing but love with mine. Awesome design, I never thought the armor could fit so snugly on UM, it's amazing. Bottom line, I love it enough to preorder the nemesis armor

Man I must have a lucky figure, my TM Megatron is fine and has been since bought him back when I was young enough to play like crazy with my toys. The only thing wrong with him is the broken connector piece for one of the hinge joints on the waist pieces that connect to the arms. I tried to pop his arm off to find out why the elbow joint was so loose but his arm was attached way too tightly so the thin piece of plastic broke instead. (And it's not even Gold Plastic, it's the brown colored stuff.)
