Question Movie Primes

This repaint thing is really starting to bug me.
I've got LOC size,FAB,Dlx Proto,Voyager,and a Leader.
Is that not enough? Do I need more, HASBRO?
How about you? How many? Which is the best?
Robovsion, G1 painted, Battle damaged, Nightwatch, Premium, Japanese...anymore?..can Nemesis and Ultra Magnus be far behind?
Your thoughts on re-deocs?

Re: Movie Primes

Not everyone have the same tastes. Hasbro is just trying to supply the niche TF toy markets as well as trying to match the cost with the fans pocket books.

I think Hasbro is doing a great job so far. minus few under supply and over priced blips.

Re: Movie Primes

I'm not a huge fan of the repaints either, but Hasbro is ultimately just behaving like a business, which is to make money. When you make a prototype of anything, whether it's a toy or car, it costs a lot of money to invest in the design and manufacturing. Then the more you make based off that mode, the individual item costs less and less to duplicate. The repaints are easy for Hasbro to make money on, because some people like them, and some people want other versions, but ultimately, Hasbro sees a market for them, to not only lower unit costs, but to cash in on it. Can't really blame Hasbro for taking advantage of the free market and fans of the toylines. In the end, you can decide not to buy the new versions. Personally, I'm avoiding the repaints for the most part and even with the upcoming premium line, I am very happy with my original versions with their reprolabels (Thanks to Pascal for recommending them. They're awesome!)

Re: Movie Primes

I just started collecting mainly from the movie line, so I wasn't used to all these repaints (didn't even know it was going to happen THIS much at least) but for the next movie if I still buy the movie toys I'll try not to buy as much and wait for the better versions maybe.

Re: Movie Primes

I don't mind repaints. But i'll only buy them if they strike my interest, such as the movie repaint of bumblebee as Cliffjumper. Now that's just awsome, so i bought him. Can't help myself when it's Cliffjumper. but i have my limits.

Re: Movie Primes

^ That's me as well. I buy the repaints that I like, and if there's any that I don't, well then that's just a bit of cash I've saved for TFs down the road that do catch my eye.
