Re: Anyone else find transforming your Transofrmers relaxing?

I wouldn't say I transform to relax. I do stare at my display sometimes, though, that tends to cheer me up. Or I just pet my rabbit, its pretty soothing for the both of us. I agree about 3P's being harrowing to transform, and I mostly transform my combiner wars / generations figs for fun.

Yeah, I don't know about transforming them when I'm stressed, but going down to the basement where I keep my collection, and just...looking at it, is very cathartic for me. Especially the pieces that were once holy grails for me, like Energon Galvatron, or Cybertron Optimus Prime. Looking at the figure and going "This is mine" is...very pleasing to me.

I think it engages a part of your brain that pushes away from the animal stress roaring through elsewhere.

I'm really happy with the TR deluxes on that note. They hit that nice medium point of satisfying to transform but not complex enough for puzzle play. I like some puzzle play, but not for ones I want to relax transforming.

One of my American tfcon friends was talking about how he starts transforming Swindle when he's on a bad call, and his co-workers have figured out the faster he's transforming it, the worse shit is going.

Every so often I would stare at my collection pick a guy out and transform him. Right now I'm transforming Six shot. I think it's amazing that we can remember how to transform them all.

Ha! I love the moment you get stumped on a slightly more challenging figure.

Some times they are a pain in the ass and sometimes they break eventhough you did what the instructions indicated..

Love this thread!! I love transforming MP-23 Exhaust. I have him at arms reach and he has been a calming sight while I have been combining Shuraking torso and legs together. The parts forming chest piece has driven me nuts after I made the mistake of fully tabbing the back side pieces. I take a took over at Exhaust and just love the site of his simplicity. I still love Shuraking tho, the menace that he his.

Not the part I enjoy the most, no.

In fact when we set up display tables at conventions I always get other folks on our crew to help with the Transforming of certain bots

I used to like Transforming the G1 mini bots over and over as a kid.

Re: Anyone else find transforming your Transofrmers relaxing?

I find it more relaxing to weapon them up and pose my transformers (most all are 3rd party)

I guess the more simpler ones, like my Iron Factory and my SD Master Made Metro / SDF-1 are no problem, don't have to think at all .

Also, transforming my MMC Feralcons and Hex is relaxing enough.

Another thing I find very pleasing is keep on changing the poses and the order of my display shelves. That is the most fun for me actually, and taking pics too.

That pretty much sums it up for me. I love being able to pose them and take pics. I always put them into a slideshow with music and sound efftects. That relaxes me the most
