What's the deal with AliExpress?

So on occasion I see things offered on AliExpress. Some items seem too good to be true so I am assuming they are KOs or defects.

What's the deal with AliExpress? Is it KO stuff trying to be marketed as genuine? If KO, is it at least decent quality?

I think Aliexpress is very similar to eBay. There are some great deals, there are some traps. They have a pretty good money-back arrangement if you find a trap.

Re: What's the deal with AliExpress?

Pretty sure, its the same as taobao, geek and wish.... A lot of it is ko..... but you also have to be careful as there are some that show for instance, a sale of multiple figures, when in fact it is only one of the ones shown. Ive seen some good stuff, or at least looks to be good stuff, usually the "real" stuff is a fair bit more pricey.

The only real trustworthy one I've seen recommended is Uncle Billy. He does state which items are KO and he sells a lot of third party as well.

Aliexpress is pretty good with protecting their buyers. If the price is too good to be true it probably is. Usually the sellers will say if its a KO or not.

I've bought from AliExpress and Uncle Billy a few times and it's always been on the up and up.
