Re: Transformers #11 comic reviews and feedback

I'm really liking the way the ongoing series's story is progressing. I know it's not what we're used to, as in Decepticons on one side and the Autobots on the other and there's a big battle between most of the time. BUT to me its something different, and to me, more real more about the characters. I'm finding that I'm starting to like certain characters that I've never really cared too much about in the past because of issues like #11. I really liked the portrayal of the Seekers in these book, and Thundercracker in this issue. I think it's relly cool that they created a world where its plausable for former enemies to work together.

Re: Transformers #11 comic reviews and feedback

I'm still having problems with this series. Despite having decided to quit when Long Haul got owned by a flesh creature I still linger..........

The whole Bumblebee/Thundercracker deal seems weak to me. I like for him to have a more solid reason for helping out the Autobots than because......

Silverstreak, Red Alert and Brawn's section I did enjoy. Costa really managed to bring out a couple different personalities there.

Cosmos! Awesome!

Bumbelbee's Hybrid Universe/Movie art is really working for me now as well. I'm so glad they switched back to a more traditional style of Transformers art for the series.

3 Combaticons vs the Autobots, meh, it was alright. It's just this whole Decepticon league of nations thing that I'm kinda finding bothersome.

Thus far by insinuating that both North Korea and China would openly work with the bad guys kinda paints the wrong picture when this is thought about in real world terms.

I'm not sure if they are trying to be controversial here on purpose or not, but it might get viewed that way if it continues.

USA + Autobots(of course, even if only covertly)
North Korea + Combaticons
China + Predacons

What is next? Iran + Terrorcons? I'm just asking because I'm a little concerned where they are headed with this right now.

Maybe Canada can get Wheelie.

I think they should move away from the idea of aligning full nations with Transformers factions as soon as possible lest Casey Casum comes after them

Overall this was a fun enough issue for me. I'll stick with it for now.

After thinking about it a bit, I agree. Too much. Too easy.

The way I saw it was Thundercracker was a warrior without a war, a supposedly elite warrior reduced to watching TV and hiding. Basically, BB's argument that got him to help was that either you can sit on the couch and hide for the rest of your days or you can do something now and maybe help in your own self preservation, because if the combaticons cause trouble that trouble is going to spill over onto Thundercracker eventually.

Yeah, this is one thing that seems almost universal now. They can't use the old USSR anymore as the bad guy country of choice, it's N.Korea, China, and what ever middle eastern country you want. I'd be nice for them to chose a country not so obvious.... how about the Vatican?
