rats looks like I played the wrong cards... other way come the 15th ill get my money back so anyone that got one don't put a clam though paypal but get ebay to refund you on their end first

Yea...shouldn't have gone through Paypal first. Called ebay and they just directed me to PP, then PP told me to sit tight.

Clearly Ebay is better able to identify this is a scam or at least as problematic compared to Pay Pal.

I suppose that makes sense given that all the feedback and outrage is on Ebay.

I've always gone through ebay for any disputes, not paypal. I've only (lucky) been ripped off twice. Both cases were easy to 'win', as the seller never responded to the allegations. Even if they did send something, I would have gotten the item plus the refund.

Ebay most definitely protects the seller over the buyer with the 'new rules'. I always sweat making sure my ads are properly laid out, and that I document everything (photos of the item being packed) and receipts for shipping. Here in Canada, it's very hard to sell to Americans if the buyer demands tracking; Canada Post can not do this, only couriers...and that costs a lot more, as you all know.

And all the seller has to do is say that you shipped him something broken, or incomplete, or any other thing that now puts the onus on the seller to prove he's in the clear. That's why as long as it has the guarantee, I'll buy anything. But I didn't jump on this one, even though I contacted the seller twice. Scumbags! I got lucky, but I don't blame anybody who took the chance.

As a seller, I generally make my conditions well known: I don't sell to anywhere other than US or Canada, some larger Euro countries...but definitely not S. America. I'll take the less money and save the heartache! I've read too many complaints. I don't sell to folks with less than ten points of good rep, no matter how much they offer.

Ebay is strange, but unfortunately they're the only game in town that I feel has at least a chance of fighting fraud.

Now: I can't wait to see what Laffy gets in the mail!

Well...at least we now have good reason to stay away from anything that's priced as a KO (but 'not' a KO), is listed under something other than toys/action figures, and something where the requirements are just about as lax as can be ('return it, no problem, buy it, don't buy it, hey, we don't care, here, I'll give ya five bucks').

The best deals exist early on, as I've come to see. 'MP' and 'deal' aren't really meant to be together, if you're me

....that said, MP Starscream showed up today! Can't believe how fast I'm getting these shipped, like less than 9 days! Unreal.

I turned around and spent the 140 I got back from this on a MP Red Alert and MP 18S (the silver silverstreak) for the same pirce shipped.
