Supafly's mancave

Pretty happy with my setup. I can play PC games from my couch thanks to a Walmart tray thingy which is something I always dreamed of being able to do. 120 inch projector screen with the detolfs next to it makes hanging out a real blast.

Some figures I got from cybertron.ca members so thank you very much! It's dark down there so forgive the flash blasted phone pics

The setup

Might as well show each shelf, lovin these guys!

This guy I had to take off the shoulder pieces so he could fit!

YOu should get a different set of blinds and inset them into the window cutout. The light can and will get around those blinds onto your figures.

Re: Supafly's mancave

I want to live and die in your mancave.

<That sounded more weird than I intended>

Bravo!

I hadn't thought of that. There's a shop that does custom blinds and whatnots near by, I should check it out. I also read that one should be careful what kind of light you use but I can't find more precise info.. Anyone know about LED lights and best practices for using on plastic etc.. ?

If your lights are LED then no worries.

If they are incandescent / UV then I'd use filters or turn them on sparingly. It takes a long time to cause fading/brittleness but it will eventually happen with traditional bulbs thanks to the contained heat and the spectrum of UV rays emitted.

Re: Supafly's mancave

hey thanks for the info. I just googled a bit and it's like you say, UV is the thing to look out for. Blinds are fairly cheap so might as well get some good ones and block the UV. Not a huge deal but hey, might as well do things properly!
