Re: Devastator reissue plastic

You want me to put the Decepticon sticker (7) where?

They probably mean on the legs, but that's where the rub symbol is.

Gonna put it on the drum.

Re: Devastator reissue plastic

The original Mixmaster had the rub symbol on the back side of the vehicle, partially overlapping the small groove where it connects to the Devastator kibble. The rub symbol would always get damaged. They were smart relocating it, although you now have an extra symbol with nowhere "official" to place it. I ended up placing it on the front grill, just below the windshield. The cartoon had one there.

They look fine to me and stick well. They're shiny and not too thin.

Re: Devastator reissue plastic

Odd, I swear Bonecrusher's crotch sticker was red and stripped when I applied it yesterday. I don't see any evidence of smearing or ink smudging. I would've noticed if it didn't match the original stickers. Or I guess the top part fell off.

Were you wearing a red shirt when you applied the stickers?

Re: Devastator reissue plastic

So I quickly checked out the set last night. I used to have the original and the high-quality KO. The new toys don't quite feel like the same, the matte neon green plastic looks a bit cheap at first glance (compared to the original glossy one), but overall, the toys work as they should (even better than I remembered) and the fit is excellent in Devastator mode, all the joints are tight. Only Mixmaster has a slightly loose left arm in his individual robot mode. I think the only thing I don't like are the new rub signs, the old ones worked better. Haven't applied the stickers yet.
