Well guys I found one Masterpiece Sideswipe on ebay.com for 134.95 US plus 10.95 shipping to Canada, bit the bullet and bought it

Yeah, I'm a mold buyer, not too concerned with characters for the most part. So a yellow one is pretty much as good as a red one for me, especially for half the price!
I mean, some characters are important to me, but for a majority I'll buy a good mold of a nobody, but won't buy recolor to get other characters if I already have the mold.

And yeah, if he's part of a complete line I can see needing to keep CarRobots Max.

However, since you have the "RID" version, it might not be worth it considering you already have the mold (just not in their original G1 colors)

All of this over a ruddy shade of red? Good grief. Of course it would be difficult to match the red paint exactly. We shall see though if the company can pull itself out of such a twisted predicament.

Personally I haven't much interest in MP Autobot Cars, I'd rather get the Cassetticons to be honest, but those are pricy. And even if I managed to save up for the Hasbro version of SW who is supposedly coming with all the cassettes in one big package... Well that's still a big if.

I suppose if this rumor is true and Takara/Tomy can't fix the issue... Well I guess that's their loss, I mean look at the money that stuff has brought in already and they needed a specific shade of red for it? The way business deals work, makes me glad I'm not in that line of work, because I'd be stressed out of my mind trying to get both parties to agree on something.
