Short answer: EMS, generally gets delivered to you within 5-7 business days. You get a tracking number, and you know where it's on route.
Long answer: Times are shitty with the exchange rate, so any cost-savings is good. If you go SAL, you'll probably get your package well before you move, about 14-18 days. However, if you're paying $100 for an item, I'm gonna assume it's somewhat important. Why would you want to save 10 bucks and play the unknown status waiting game??? Then again, it's coming from Japan, so SAL is relatively safe and reliable.
