Not all 3P company overcharge, we should remember that there are factors that affect the pricing. This has been discussed before. We are all entitled in our own opinion, what good for someone might be bad for others or vice versa. Let just enjoy all the good stuff that's coming from either HasTak or 3P.

Re: Masterpiece Shockwave Incoming!

Regarding the die cast, it doesn't impress me if a toy is heavy. Just means it is easier for gravity to do its job when the toys falls of a shelf.

It's a negative in my eyes because it is harder to match the colour of paints on plastic and metal and unpainted plastic. On the Fanstoys dibots, you can see the colours are slightly different shades when they are suppose to be the same colour.

It adds to the shipping costs (Fanstoys sludge has been delayed to be redesigned cause of the weight and shipping costs making it over $200 usd retail price). On Fanstoys Scoria, there is so much weight in his feet, when you lift the toy off the shelf or table, he has the same spaghetti legs and hips as the recent Hasbro MP Grimlock.

On Fanstoys soar (swoop), the gold claws on his knee are metal but the small gold piece that tabs in the upper thigh is plastic and the tab is prone to breaking. To me it seems like they just pick at random which pieces should be diecast.

Re: Masterpiece Shockwave Incoming!

Looks like I have an original Quakewave for sale nmib. Takers? Seriously, no interest in Hot Rod, although I do like him better than RP. Shockwave looks like a weight-litfter who has focused on upper body and ignored the legs. Sometimes prototypes are just a bunch of parts stacked together for display and both of these guys will likely improve in appearance.

Re: Masterpiece Shockwave Incoming!

I can imagine Tak or Hasbro releasing a repainted Radioshack homage Shackwave exclusive. Cool.

I am no fan of 3p by anymeans but quakewave is the best "transformer" ever made IMO until proven otherwise...

Re: Masterpiece Shockwave Incoming!

I agree QW is just solid and awesome. But Takara Shockwave! You know it is going to be awesome. Gives me a rush just typing Takara Shockwave.

Re: Masterpiece Shockwave Incoming!

I'll grab Hot Rod for sure. I have the original Quakewave and am VERY happy with him so I'll wait until the official MP is released and watch the reviews before pulling g the trigger
