Has anyone purchased from Shelflife.net?

Has anyone purchase from there? Would like to purchase something from there. Any feedback would be great.

Re: Has anyone purchased from Shelflife.net?

I've used Shelflife twice in the recent past and had a positive experience both times.

I've sold a toy. Seemed pretty straight forward and easy.

Just curious how you got screwed. The figure didn't arrive and you weren't refunded the money? It arrived but wasn't as described?

Re: Has anyone purchased from Shelflife.net?

I put a complete vintage figure on there for sale about 2-3 months ago just to see if I should put everything else on there or not. Nobody has inquired about that one item so I don't think it's very active.

Re: Has anyone purchased from Shelflife.net?

So there some mixed reviews on there. The item i want to purchase isn't small money...Also the item I want to buy is the only transformer the seller has so I don't know if I should risk it. Thanks guys for the response...Ya it doesn't look very active on there as I see some sale posts thats been sitting there for a long time.

I'm totally not trying to talk you into trying Shelflife but I'm just curious as to what the risk is that you're referring to. If you pay with PayPal and act within the recourse time lines, you have recourse through PayPal, failing that, recourse through the credit card company that's linked to your PayPal account. Shelflife may also have a layer of buyer protection as well but I couldn't say for sure.

Yeah, and you're not really buying from Shelflife. You're buying from another person, who's contact info you found on Shelflife.

Re: Has anyone purchased from Shelflife.net?

I'd track down some method of communicating with the ShelfLife user before starting any transaction on the site. Some accounts are not updated and the users might not be checking in regularly.
