Re: 2012 TFCon Charity Project
Hey.
Had a bit of a kick in the nuts yesterday, left my tarantulas in my makeshift spray booth outside and when I went out to check the finish, it, my Tamiya cans, the other pieces i was working on and my tools were gone.
I still have an extra sidwipe (but not the transscanning one I used for parts) so I'm going to restart molding today.
If anyone wants to try their hand at a tarantulas it would be fine by me, worst case scenario we have 2 for the auction.
I can replace the paint tomorrow at work but the tools and sculpting "clay" I have to order from the states.
EDIT: got myself a few more days just now, have a friend who's going to the con so assuming I can redo it in time I'll have it hand delivered. Whoever has the reprolabels at that point can just slap one on.

Don't worry, bud, I had plans for my own Tarantulas, so I'll make him and have him ready to go just in case. That should help take some stress off you.

I'm sorry to hear it bud, that sucks to hear indeed. Let us know if there's anything else we can do to help.

Not a problem, bud! Fortunately I have a plan to work with on short notice. It'll just be a quick repaint, so I doubt it'll live up to what you have in mind.

Re: 2012 TFCon Charity Project
So, I've got a question regarding my custom that I need an opinion for. I've got Scorponok mostly done, and it's coming down to a problem regarding the headsculpt.
I'm using the body from PCC Sledge, and the head from Real Gear Longview (the binocular guy), but the issue I've got is the balljoint peg on Sledge is WAY too small for the head's socket.
Anyone have any suggestions for how to get this to fit and stay? I've considered getting some GW green stuff to fill in the socket somewhat, but I'm not sure how well that'll hold.
The head is basically my main obstacle at this point - once that's figured out I need to paint the head, do some touchups here and there, and add finish.
