One could argue that BB is, he went from '76 camaro to '07 camaro while maintaining the same bot mode. I think since they can all trans-scan and once they have done so could probably store extra alt modes in their memory banks to use when needed. Another example take Lockdown's face, he had a human looking face, one with a green display and the gun face (which seems to unfold infinitely from thin air).

I think the term triplechanger doesn't work in bayverse lazerbeak... bird, tv screen,photo copyer, pink BB,... transformers to him (Bay) are just that,... take whatever form they need re-scanners is what they should be called "LOL"

Well the car body is basically just armor. So the protoform would remain the same, I am sure the new car pieces just form onto the original code which would give him the same bot mode.

Yeah missed opportunity, maybe it had something to do with the licensing from Bugatti


Hasbro is coming out with a DRIFT voyager helicopter mode based on the skyhammer mold.

Yeah and he only did it once. Though it would of been nice when they were trying to get on Lockdown's ship if Drift lifted them all up there.

I thought he did it twice, once off the mountain in AZ and once later on during a fight seen I think.

Yeah they could have used him a bit more, in fact I thought they could have made the move even longer. Lets hope there is a Extended version with more bot and more Dino-bot scenes.

It did happen twice. Once in AZ (was it AZ?, didnt realize they had left TX yet) as mentioned, the other was when he lifted Bee to the top of Attingers office to rescue Cade.

Hmmm were they still in Texas??( Guess it could have been Bryce Canyon??), The scene reminds me of Monument Valley Arizona and Transformers Prime though.

I thought that Drift would make a good custom for an 86 movie galvatron add big ass arm cannon,repaint to color couple other tweeks.......galvatron

I actually went in thinking that Drift would have re-scanned an alt-mode part way though the movie. (like Bumble Bee and/or Prime). That would have required foresight and a well thought-out story line though.
