Re: A bit... underwhelmed by it all

just wait until the 30% and 40% discounts to start and then get them I saw the whole line in Brantford and other than the kreons I wont spend full price on any of the movie figures there are so many of them it is not like generations where the store may only get one case assortment for some reason Hasbro loves their tf movie toys and they will clog the shelves for at least 1.5 years for just wave 1

I may get in on some of the g1 colored dinobots.

everything is just too baysformer for me.

IMO, these figures SHOULD be simple and cheap.

just like the films.

What ever the reason, it's a bit disappointing. I remember the day that Star Wars EP1 toys were released; it was an event in itself and there were much more than 8 Toys available.
Wow, I can't believe I'm gonna say this, but I agree with you.

I don't know. The way I feel now about the movie toys is the same as I've felt about the toys when all the previous movies came out. The more I look a the available toys, some will start to appeal to me more. Others will drift into the background.

If there's nothing in the movie line for me, then I'm fine with it. I know there's stuff coming in the Generations line.

Hasbeen Hasbro has pulled a boner with this line I am really so unimpressed with the small size, plastic quality, movie not colors and accuracy, over priced, lousy sculpts, simplistic transformation and lastly those stupid large PVc statues like they did for transformers prime of BB/op....gotta wonder what the rest will be like,... that rant out I did like the invasion prime even if its small and not screen accurate just due to G1 homage the voyagers seem to be the only redeeming part haveint seen the leader class as yet.

Re: A bit... underwhelmed by it all

I just came from Walmart where they put out the full selection of these.

first time ive seen them up close.

I just got paid rent in cash from one of tenants...usually a bad situation to go into anywhere they sell tfs with...

Was not even tempted on any of these.

Sorry gents, but I have to disagree. I was genuinely excited when I walked into TRU and saw their huge TF display. Heck, even my wife went through TRU a day before and called me to tell me about all the toys. She was geeking out over, especially the Leaders. In her words, "I like that they're shiny!" Anyways, bought Voyager Prime and Grimlock and waiting for Hound and Galvatron.

Meh, chrome isn't all that exciting. I prefer a good metallic paint job, like The gorgeous shade of silver used by Bandai, over gaudy chrome. Less chance of chipping, less chance of cracking with time or attracting smudge... Plus it's nicer on camera so that's a good bonus point.

Re: A bit... underwhelmed by it all

I think like most people who've responded so far, I too am not all that interested in most of the new movie figures. I will probably buy the Dinobots and a few other figures at some point when there is a 25% or better sale.
