Fantastic trailer! I like that Spidey is much more of a wise-ass in this one.

I was cautiously optimistic on this before, but now this is a must see for me.

Saw the new trailer too. Looks very edgy. The web slingers are very neat. not sold on the look of the lizard, but time will tell.

Is this a Nolan-Batman trailer? Black eyes? A reboot already? Is Bruce Campbell going to be in this? While Dennis Leary is awesome, he's no Gary Oldman..."Begins?" lol.

Now that I've seen the fullt trailer, I take it back. I don't think I'll bother to go to the theater for this one, especially paying an extra three or four bucks for 3D. It's just not different enough. Plus, another origin movie kind of sucks. I don't know why they just didn't bother with a new story. The other Spidey movies weren't THAT long ago. I figure most people already know who Spider-man is. Maybe the studio felt ten years is still ten years too long.

How is this not different enough? The other movies never even tried to deal with the fact that Peter had parents. They just have him living with his Aunt and Uncle and never explain why. The other films showcased organic web shooters, where here he invents the web shooters and is showing Connors that he's basically a genius, which his intelligence was only hinted at in the Raimi films. Throw in Gwen Stacy, who obviously is nothing like the Spider-Man 3 film, Connors, who is obviously nothing like he was in Spider-Man 2 and 3 and the Lizard as a villain, which has never been done in the Spider-Man films before. The only not different thing is that it's a Spider-Man film.

Obviously, I'm in the "going to see it in 3D on opening day" camp.

This isn't a remake. If it was, we'd be getting MJ, organic webshooters, and Green Goblin again. If they did just start off with him already being spider-man, viewers would suggest the fact it has some ties to the original trilogy. In a way, they kinda need to have an origin story again to establish these are not the same characters we saw a few years ago.

Half the trailer felt more like a video game than a movie.

Still looks ok though. Going to see it in the theater, but definitely not in stupid 3D. Also, I can't stop staring at Andrew Garfield's neck. Srsly.

I'm personally all for this film,mainly because of the direction of writing (The origin of Peter's parents and their link to Dr.Conners) which I can take a bit more seriously than the Raimi Trilogy (Nothing wrong with 1 and 2,which I personally love).Also,the fact that Gwen Stacy finally gets the screentime she deserves since her horrible absence for about more than a decade (With the exception of Spectacular Spider-Man,of course),this really puts in my faith that this film will exceed the previous Spider-Man films...in spite of Andrew Garfield being a tad bit too good looking in my books (Least that gives my sister an excuse to give the Web-Slinger another go,lol)
