Re: BIONICLE fans, where you at?

Does anyone want to see what Mata-Nui's body looks liek and where it's been hidden?

Check it and prepare for goosebumps.

Re: BIONICLE fans, where you at?

I think I might not get the 2009 sets... I'm going to focus on older sets that I didn't get.

* Spoilers*

They're going to be on a different planet anyway, I prefer the Matoran Universe which I grew up with. I think the new planet's called Bara Magna.

BTW, did any of you see the 2009 teaser? Matoro's there, as well as an organic beetle.

Matoro's image is a placeholder. (they just used his CGI model from the promo art) He's not actually there, he's still dead.

Organic creatures are not unheard of, either. Mata Nui (the island) had many organic birds before all the creatures of Metru-nui migrated there. Though because of teh GIANT LEGO PEICE it's not outlandish to think that's the Glatorian Universe. (That's why Mata Nui is a canister set next year, since he's the same size as the giants of the other Universe)

I wouldn't dream of skipping the 2009 sets. They're the most original and thoughtfully designed sets since the Toa Nuva.

I always thought that giant piece was just giant because of the viewpoint, which would also make the beetle look huge...

But you forget the Bionicle dude in front of the peice. That implies that the peice is many, many, many times larger than the figure.

The beetle looks big because it's in the foreground, the Bionicle dude is in the middleground with the giant peice in the background, towering over him.

You can look at it two different ways. You can think of the bionicle figure as in the background, and the point of view in the sand groung level, directly in front of the piece, hence making the beetle and piece look big. However, it is true that it can be seen as a giant piece towering over him, I'm not saying it is not true.

PS. Why must you sand bag me every time I post in this thread?

There's not many ways you can judge perspective.
